Hello and thanks for your interest in our products. Looks like the XL will work for you, your wife would be adult and children would be the child versions. Hope this helps.

Is there a weight range for the "adult" vs the x-large sizing. I cannot find details anywhere

Hello and thanks for your question. As you will note these are the style that you put your head in and then strap on. The Adult is for folks in the 120 pound to 190 range and the XL is for your bigger folks in the 195 to 300 range. The hole for the head will be larger and the bladder and straps will be also. Hope this helps.

Hello, Good question and I am not sure that anyone has a C02 cylinder anymore. These are manual inflator valves. Have a good one!! Thanks, Bill

Is this a recommended vest for Bermuda snorkeling for family (grandparents, teens, adults)? IF someone is closer to 185 order an extralarge or adult? Is a metal valve better than a plastic one? Are baffles helpful? Is this easy to inflate and deflate?
Thanks
