ScubaPro Twin Jet Open Heel Fins

Offering excellent maneuverability, it's a great fin for getting in and out of tight places and making quick changes of direction. For divers looking for a comfortable fin that delivers a propulsive kick with minimal feedback, the TWIN JET leads the pack.

Split fins are fun. They're fast and maneuverable, and by keeping the fins within your body's slipstream and using a relaxed flutter kick, you can comfortably cover a lot of ground without cramping leg muscles or straining ankles. Less energy expended means less air consumed and less overall fatigue, and that equals a more enjoyable time spent kicking around under water.

You won't find a better provider of maximum propulsion with minimum effort than the TWIN JET. Employing what's known as "propeller technology," the distinctive split hydrofoil shape of the blade allows water to flow between and around each of the twin blades, which flex independently to produce propulsion in much the same manner as a propeller. These blades are also angled to provide symmetrical power on both up and down strokes, creating a smooth and stable kicking motion that gets you moving without wearing you out.

Compared to the Mares Head Volo One Open Heel Fin, just a bit heavier when held. But once you submerge in the water, initially you nearly have to check if they are on…very light, excellent for combat swimmers. 

PRO: Energy conversation very noticeable; no complications with kicks nor ankles using these fins. Once the straps are adjusted, you can slip them on and off w/o unbuckling the straps.  Minimizes leg fatigue, excellent for long distance swimmers. 

CON: As with the Mares Head Volo One Open Heel Fins, not a lot of immediate thrust noticed, but excellent momentum maintained w/o stress or enhanced O2 consumption…
