The straps that encircle the tank are so stiff that they are difficult to tighten; also so stiff that they will not flatten out for storage. The tubing at the handle offers sufficient rigidity to keep the straps spaced on the tank.
I tried soaking them overnight in hot water to see if they could loosen up; not a bit.
I have 2" tow straps rated at 10,000 lbs. that are much more pliable. If this material was part of your BC or a belt you wouldn't/couldn't use it.
The price was good -- unless you consider that I will never use them.
Great design -- horrible material! |
